The Conduit exists to create the conditions for relationship. It began in 2011 as a series of free, skill-based workshops and songwriter showcases, not as a business model, but as a way to bring people together around shared curiosity, creativity, and trust. From the beginning, the work was less about output and more about presence: giving people space to be seen, to belong, and to grow alongside others.

In 2016, this relational approach took physical form through a one-year collaborative workspace prototype in partnership with the Florida Hospital Innovation Lab. Within a 6,000 square foot space on the hospital campus, we intentionally gathered 22 early-stage companies across creative, entrepreneurial, and social impact fields. The goal was not scale or speed, but depth: fostering trust, shared responsibility, and durable relationships that could support both work and life.

What became clear during that season was that when environments are designed around dignity and mutual regard, people show up differently. Work becomes more honest.

Risk becomes more possible. Growth becomes more sustainable. That insight shaped the decision to expand The Conduit, not as a coworking product, but as a long-term relational ecosystem.

In 2017, that next chapter began through a joint venture with SunGate Capital at SunGate Studios, supported by Ed Haddock, whose own commitments to creativity, entrepreneurship, and community aligned closely with the heart of the work.

Today, The Conduit is an interdisciplinary community in downtown Orlando for people who believe that life and work are shaped most powerfully through relationship. It is a place where individuals are treated as humans rather than transactions, where proximity matters, and where belonging is understood as a prerequisite for meaningful contribution.

This is how I live out my mission through The Conduit: by designing and stewarding a space where people can be known, supported, and encouraged as they find and fearlessly move into the power of their unique stories and gifts.
